Yoga for People of Color

Due to COVID-19, Yoga for People of Color will now be held online over Zoom!

Yoga for People of Color –  A Monthly Offering

A monthly offering where people of color can gather and practice yoga in a safe and nurturing setting. Each class will include postures accessible to all levels as well as time for exploring ways to use breath and meditation for wellbeing. Participants are invited to stay after class to connect with others, share yoga resources and build community. Each class is offered on a donation basis; no one will be turned away for inability to pay. No pre-registration is necessary.

This class is offered byThe Women’s Initiative  and Common Ground Healing Arts, and led by a team of teachers of color organized by Eboni Bugg, LCSW, RYT.

Eboni completed her Hatha Yoga Teacher training at Opal Yoga in Charlottesville, Virginia and has additional certifications in Prenatal Yoga and Lifeforce Yoga for Depression & Anxiety. Eboni’s mission is to make yoga fully accessible to all regardless of background or ability.  She is passionate about the physical and emotional benefits of mindful movement and creates opportunities for students to use their bodies to heal, grow, and transform.  In addition to teaching yoga, Eboni is a trauma-focused therapist and serves as the Senior Manager for Diversity, Inclusion, & Global Outreach at the Mind & Life Institute.
