On Wednesday, January 6th, Whole Foods Charlottesville will donate 5% of the day’s net sales to Common Ground Healing Arts, a local health and wellness nonprofit. Common Ground will use funds from this day to offer affordable acupuncture that will provide pain and stress relief to underserved communities in Charlottesville.
In the United States acupuncture is the most common alternative therapy to which doctors recommend their patients for complementary medical care. It has been proven effective in treating pain of all types, including migraines, knee and low back pain, and rheumatoid arthritis. Acupuncture is also used for stress relief; relief from anxiety and depression; and as a useful preventative treatment that can keep a person healthy.
Sarabeth Whedbee will be at Whole Foods Charlottesville administering auricular acupuncture (just ear points) from 4-6pm.
Whole Foods Market is located at 1797 Hydraulic Rd, Charlottesville and will be open from 7am to 10pm on Wednesday, January 6th.
