Two great yogas that are even better together! Come relax and rejuvenate into deep restoration of body, mind and spirit with restorative/thai yoga. Restorative yoga uses props to support the body, you experience the posture passively allowing gravity and specific positioning on the props to open and deeply stretch the body. Thai Yoga combines traction, assisted postures and activation of energy points in the body. Thai yoga bodywork compliments restorative yoga perfectly taking the postures to their full expression supporting deeper relaxation and release.
This course will be offered on Tuesdays, 12:15-1:30pm from November 28th – December 19th. **Please note that the first session of this series will be at Common Ground, however due to construction occuring in the Common Ground suite during the month of December, the consecutive 3 sessions will be at The Women’s Initiative on High Street (1101 E. High Street, Charlottesville VA 22901).**

This series will require a minimum of 5 people to be signed-up. If we haven’t hit the minimum we will contact those already signed up so that we all have chance to recruit a friend or two in the last few days!

Chitra Kate McDevitt RYT500 has been teaching Integral Yoga since 2003. She teaches Basic and Intermediate levels as well as Restorative Yoga. She has been working with Durga Leela and Yoga of Recovery since 2011 which combines ayurveda, yoga philosophy and 12-step principles. She is certified through the Lotus Palm School of Thai Yoga and is a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist which combines classical yoga techniques and elements of contemporary body-mind psychology.
