Are you a “giver” with a well that needs to be filled? Are you craving opportunity for self-care? Overstimulated and distracted by the outside world? Yearning for the opportunity to “just be” and offer yourself some of what you’re always pouring out to others? In this time of great need, transition, activism, and involvement, it is vital to nourish yourself.
Here is your chance. Take some “time in” to connect with and nurture yourself with this 6-week Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Series.
This program will be guided by Kara Snapp, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, Group Facilitator, and 500 hr Therapeutic Yoga Teacher. The series is designed to support you in the practice of self-compassion and self-love. The program encompasses movement and yoga, meditation, journaling and creative expression, partner practice, circle share, and development of a home practice. You will be led through your body to your center to notice, acknowledge, and accept what is happening for you moment to moment, how it connects with your life, and what you’d like to create to continue self-nurturing when the program is over.
Each week will introduce you to a theme that is woven into practice, and then taken home to use as a guide for the week. You will learn the practical application of meditation, yoga, & self-care. You will learn to tune into and maximize your personal wisdom.
Upon program completion you will not only have a community of support for your journey, but you will also have necessary tools to continue personal transformation, as well a new perspective and increased satisfaction with the way you live your life.
No previous experience with yoga or meditation is expected or necessary. Come as you are to create a greater sense of self-love.
This course will be offered on Tuesdays, 10:00am-12:00pm from April 11th through May 16th.
This 6 week series is being offered Pay-What-You-Can $30-$120. The value of this series is $120. Sign-up from here.
You can pay online for the series in increments of $10 between $30-$120. You are also welcome to pay over the phone at 434-218-7677, or in person at our Jefferson School location when we have other services going on.
This series will require a minimum of 4 people to be signed-up. If we haven’t hit the minimum we will contact those already signed up so that we all have chance to recruit a friend or two in the last few days!

About the instructor:
Kara Snapp started on her journey into yoga and meditation almost 20 years ago. Her love for the practice deepened through Ashtanga, Kripalu, Hatha, Bikram, and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. Her passion for helping others connect with their true self led her to become a Certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Practitioner, Group Facilitator, and 500hr PRYT teacher.
