Level 1 Yoga

Alignment based yoga instruction designed for beginners and experienced students who prefer a moderately paced class. Unlike vinyasa style classes, we move slowly through standing and seated poses. During this session we will give special attention to the hips. No previous experience required.

This course will be offered on Thursdays from 9:30am – 10:45am, February 18th through March 25th, 2021. This is a live virtual class held via Zoom. The meeting link will be emailed to you one hour before each class.

This 6-week series is being offered Pay-What-You-Can $30-$120 per person. The value of this series is $120. Sign-up from here.

Please note: No substitutions. Cancellations for this series must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the first class, refunds will not be issued after this point. Refunds are not available for missed classes.

About Rebecca L’Abbe: After many years of studying and performing ballet and modern dance, the gift of yoga provided a natural transition to staying strong, being creatively curious, and mentally disciplined minus the stress of competition. Rebecca began her teacher training at the Iyengar Institute in San Francisco and received her teaching certification through YogaWorks at Yoga Source, Richmond, VA in 2003. Her primary instructors there were Sandra Pleasants and Jennifer Elliot. Additional certification includes training to teach yoga to people with Multiple Sclerosis. She continues to study in Afton, VA with Sandra Pleasants. Her teaching is informed by many streams of interest including dance, an ongoing study of physiology and anatomy, and a sense of humor.
