Yoga for Emotional Balance

Yoga isn’t just about the body it’s about the being. Find out how yoga can help to navigate and overcome anger, anxiety and depression. Whatever may be throwing you off balance there is always a way to find your balance again. This class is about self maitenance and taking control of our energies. We will wake up and also ground energy as well as learn breath techniques for when we are in an emotional reaction. Deep relaxation practices will offer immediate relief.

Class will have some discussion and learning with yoga practices designed for all levels.

This course will be offered on Thursdays, 7:00 – 8:15 pm from October 19th through November 16th. 

This 5 week series is being offered Pay-What-You-Can $25-$100. The value of this series is $100. Sign-up from here.

You can pay online for the series in increments of $10 between $25-$100. You are also welcome to pay over the phone at 434-218-7677, or in person at our Jefferson School location when we have other services going on.

This series will require a minimum of 8 people to be signed-up. If we haven’t hit the minimum we will contact those already signed up so that we all have chance to recruit a friend or two in the last few days!

Chitra Kate McDevitt RYT500 has been teaching Integral Yoga since 2003. She teaches Basic and Intermediate levels as well as Restorative Yoga. She has been working with Durga Leela and Yoga of Recovery since 2011 which combines ayurveda, yoga philosophy and 12-step principles. She is certified through the Lotus Palm School of Thai Yoga and is a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist which combines classical yoga techniques and elements of contemporary body-mind psychology.
