September Satsang with Anya Shepelavey

Common Ground is very happy to be hosting C’ville Satsang, a monthly gathering organized by Lynsie McKeown.

About C’ville Satsang:
C’ville Satsang is a local group of like-minded individuals seeking a greater sense of community and connection through the love of all things yoga. Once a month we gather together to play, practice, discuss, meditate or chant. This group is intended as a collaboration between teachers, students and the yoga curious as a way to keep expanding our knowledge and loving support off our mats.

This event is offered to the community at no charge; donations to Common Ground are welcome to support use of their space.

About September’s Satsang:
September 16th2:00-4:00pm at Common Ground Healing Arts

Negative emotions and experiences can get trapped in the body, affecting our physical and mental health.  Learn the basic principles underlying The Emotion Code as an energy healing modality. This experiential session will explore the concepts of quantum energy and how trapped negative emotions may influence one’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. Attendees will have an opportunity to experience the release of 2-3 trapped negative emotions and will receive a voucher for 20% off of an Emotion Code session. This presentation aims to be fun and informative!

About Anya Shepelavey:
Anya Shepelavey, MPH, CECP, is a certified Forrest Yoga Teacher, having completed Ana Forrest’s beginner and advanced yoga teacher trainings in 2001 and 2003, respectively. She is also a certified Nia White Belt teacher. Anya became a Certified Emotion Code Practitioner in 2015 and has recently completed her second year of shamanic healer training with Susan Thunder Raven of Wolfsong’s School of Shamanic Healing.

Anya offers Emotion Code and Shamanic Healing sessions through her Star Heart Healing practice (www.starhearthealing.com).

About Lynsie McKeown:
Yoga came into Lynsie’s life during a challenging time of transition and loss. The practice of Yoga provided a way to transform struggle into opportunity and she continues to draw inspiration from the never-ending journey of the human heart. Her devotion for greater awareness and spiritual growth are reflected in her teaching and writing. She strives to support, uplift and empower others to walk their own path to healing and growth with courage, authenticity and grace.

Lynsie also holds a BA in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia, is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and an Assisted Thai Yoga Bodyworker.
