Common Ground is partnering with the Insight Meditation Community of Charlottesville, and Asha Greer for our current meditation scheduling & programming. The yoga and meditation schedules can be looked at together from here.

Lunch Hour Meditation:
Wednesdays, 12-1pm &  Fridays, 12-1pm

Lunch Hour Meditation at Common Ground is led by rotating IMCC teachers.  Join us for guided insight and heart meditations, with time for questions and discussion.   These sitting periods are open to all levels of meditators including those new to practice.  Advance registration is not required and you may drop in at any time.  There is no fee. Donations are welcome, appreciated, and benefit both Common Ground and IMCC.


6 Week Intro to Mindfulness Meditation Series
Monday evenings, April 10th – May 15th

 The first class will be 7:00-9:00pm, and the remainder of the classes will be 7:00-8:30 pmPlease note: pre-registration for this series is required. Registration is available from here.

IMCC will offer a six-week Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation Class open to anyone who is new to meditation or who would like to establish a regular practice of mindfulness and Insight Meditation.


Time for Stopping: Friday Evening Meditation with Asha Greer
Fridays, 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Asha Greer and rotating guests host Friday evening meditations from 6:30-7:30pm. Drop-ins very welcome.

These Friday evening meditations are an opportunity for you to embrace doing nothing. That’s right: nothing. With so much going on in our world and our lives, this is a chance to feel ok and at peace with *just* being present.

Asha will give brief instructions, and then the meditation will begin. Please come early. These classes are offered by donation, and your generosity is greatly appreciated.
