June C-Ville Satsang: Intro to Shamanism

June C-Ville Satsang: Introduction to Shamanism:  Grounding

Common Ground is very happy to be hosting C’ville Satsang, a monthly gathering organized by Lynsie McKeown. This event is offered to the community at no charge; donations to Common Ground are welcome to support use of their space.

About June Satsang:  Anya Star Heart happily introduces the fundamentals of shamanism that are in place to support us on our human and spiritual journey.  We are all born with the knowledge for our own healing and wholeness within us, but most of us have difficulty accessing that information and trusting it.  This introduction is meant to help you practice grounding and establishing a container in order to identify the energy of your Self vs Other.

Come prepared to experience rituals of shamanic ceremony, grounding meditations, and learning the benefits of shamanic healing as a whole. Wear comfortable clothing as we will be sitting on the floor. Bring a journal and writing utensil to capture insights.

About Anya: Anya Star Heart Shepelavey has felt a connection to the Spiritual expression of nature ever since she was a little girl. Her first introduction to shamanic ceremony was through her yoga teacher trainings & studies with Ana Forrest in 2001. A significant healing with two Native American shamans at a Forrest Yoga conference prompted Anya to search for a similar form of healing near Crozet.  Anya met and began studies with Sue Thunder Raven of Wolfsong’s School of Shamanic Healing in 2013.  Anya has completed two years of Shamanic Healer Training with Sue and is beginning her third year of studies in 2018.  For Anya learning shamanic healing has awakened her to a familiar & ancient wisdom within that is experienced as a coming home to herself.  Learn more about Anya & her work at www.starhearthealing.com.
